Getting your skincare routine ready for winter !!!

Here are some steps to prepare your skincare for winter:

1. Switch to a Gentle Cleanser

-Opt for a hydrating, cream-based cleanser that won’t strip your skin’s natural oils. Avoid heavy foaming cleansers that can be too drying in cold weather.

2. Increase Moisturization

-Swap your lightweight summer moisturizer for a richer cream or oil-based moisturizer to lock in moisture. Look for ingredients like hyaluronic acid, glycerin, or antioxidant to hydrate deeply.

3. Layer with Serums

   - Serums with hydrating ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, vitamin E, or niacinamide can add extra moisture before applying your moisturizer. Antioxidants can also help protect the skin from environmental stress.

4. Use a Hydrating Toner or Essence

   - Include a hydrating toner or essence in your routine to add an extra layer of moisture. Avoid toners with alcohol, which can dry out your skin.

5. Don’t Forget SPF

   - Even in winter, UV rays can damage your skin, so it’s important to continue using sunscreen with at least SPF 30 daily.

6. Exfoliate, But Gently

   - Exfoliation helps remove dead skin cells that can build up in winter, but use gentle exfoliants like lactic acid or enzyme-based exfoliators to avoid over-stripping the skin.

7. Add Face Oils

   - Incorporating face oils can help seal in moisture and provide an extra barrier against the cold, dry air. Look for oils like jojoba, rosehip, or argan oil that nourish without clogging pores.

8. Focus on Lip and Eye Care

   - The skin around your eyes and on your lips is thinner and more vulnerable in winter. Use a rich eye cream and a nourishing lip balm to prevent chapping.

9. Use a Humidifier

   - Indoor heating can dry out the air, so using a humidifier can help maintain moisture in your skin while you sleep.

10. DIY Hydration Masks

   - You can make hydrating masks using natural ingredients like honey, yogurt, or avocado. Since you use green tea, turmeric, and beetroot powders in your skincare, you can incorporate them into masks to nourish your skin further.
